Tax trip

Today was a very long day for me. It was time to fill out my boring taxes. ATM, I'm very tired and sore from all the walking so I'm just gonna post the pics and let you see for yourself. ^^


Let me explain how this machine works. This is used for adding money into a transportation card called a "CharlieCard." Its pretty much like a credit card but for bus and train only. Bus = $1.50, Train = $1.75. There is a combo where if you take the bus AND train, the train ride is free, so you just lose $1.50 or $1.75 depending on the one you take first ^^


You start by swiping your card through a black scanner (above) and the screen shows you how much money your card has. You then have the option of adding more money, printing out a receipt, or canceling.

I added $20 since I'll be going back and forth around the city a lot ^^ The machine features 8 different languages (including Japanese ^^) and an audio setting for the eye impaired. BTW no pin numbers or anything like that, so pretty much if you lose your card and someone picks it up, they get free rides out of your money ^^;;;

There are many train lines in Boston. They are labeled by color (red,green,blue,orange and purple). So you most likely won't ever get lost inside the maze-like subways (hopefully) ^^

After What seemed like eternity (3 hrs) I finally arrived at my destination. The Library. They have a tax firm in the basement section.

The lobby is huge. Has metal detectors and armed guards at the entrance. It has beautiful large murals on the walls as well. Sry for picture quality, I was walking down the stairs when I took this ^^;;

I was finally done ^^ Camera died out on me around here so thats it for now. As you can probably tell from my posts, I'm a very active person. I move around here and there doing different things everyday. Honestly though while its fun, its also very tiring. I think I'm going to take it easy this week. For now, I'm gonna go catch some z's.
